When the temperature in our environment gets too high and our bodies struggle to cool down, heat stress can occur. This leads to discomfort, muscle cramps, dizziness, and headaches and can even endanger our health. It is therefore important to allow your employees to cool down in such conditions.

From now on, Vlamboog is the new Dutch partner of Inuteq, a leading manufacturer of cooling vests. Inuteq makes cooling products that help prevent heat stress. In this, they offer various solutions. Here we distinguish 4 technologies: H2O, DRY, PVA, and PAC. Quickly read below what the difference is.

Cooling vest for every occasion

H2O TECHNOLOGIE

  • Easily (re)activated by immersing in cold (or warm) water for 2 minutes. Experience instant cooling.
  • Delivers 6 to 15°C cooling below ambient temperature
  • 2 to 4 hours of cooling
WHEN DO YOU CHOOSE H2O TECHNOLOGY?
  • Temperature environment up to 40 °C.
  • Humidity up to 75%, at 75% or more an air flow should be present.
  • When in use, ventilation should be present in clothing.
  • Suitable for physically demanding work.

PVA TECHNOLOGY

  • Easily activated by immersing in cold (or hot) water for 1 minute. Experience instant intense cooling.Temperature environment up to 40°C.
  • Wears tight around the body for an ultimate cooling effect.
  • Cools for several hours.
WHEN DO YOU CHOOSE PVA TECHNOLOGY?
  • Temperature environment up to 40 °C.
  • Humidity up to 80% – 90%, at 75% or more an air flow should be present.
  • When in use, ventilation should be present in clothing.
  • Suitable for physically demanding work.

DRY TECHNOLOGY

  • Easy to (re)activate by filling the vest with water. Experience instant cooling.
  • Stays 100% dry inside and out.
  • Delivers 6 to 15°C cooling below ambient temperature.
  • A cooling duration of 8 to 16 hours.
WHEN DO YOU CHOOSE DRY TECHNOLOGY?
  • Temperature environment up to 40 °C.
  • Humidity up to 75%, at 75% or more an air flow should be present.
  • When in use, ventilation should be present in clothing.
  • Not to be used for very high-intensity physical work.

PAC TECHNOLOGY

  • Activate by laying the CoolOver down at an ambient temperature below 19°C or lay it flat in ice water, freezer, or fridge until the CoolOver hardens completely.
  • Provides constant cooling of 21°C.
  • A cooling duration of 3 hours.
WHEN DO YOU CHOOSE PAC TECHNOLOGY?
  • Temperature is ambient between 25°C and 60°C.
  • Humidity does not affect operation. Regular airflow need not be present.
  • Suitable for use in situations where wearing clothing with ventilation is not possible.
  • Suitable for wearing under, for example, a (disposable) chemical coverall.
